Hellsing OVA I

Part III: Sword Dancer

The next scene begins at an orphanage at the Vatican, a fight between two of the orphans was just broken up by one of the priests, a paladin named Alexander Anderson. After he finishes talking to the boys, another priest walks up and starts to talk to him about vampires. Their conversation turns to that of Hellsing and Protestants. It seems there is some dispute about which religion holds claims to the country of Ireland. The conversation ends with Anderson being sent to Ireland. Before leaving he asks what to do should he run into Hellsing. He is told not to back down from a Heretic's Challenge.

Not too much later, Hellsing dispatches Alucard and Seras to Badrick Ireland to take out a Vampire held up in a house. Alucard walks through the house shooting ghouls left and right. not soon thereafter, Seras busts down the door and gets ready to shoot as well. right after telling herself these things aren't human anymore, she begins to violently destroy ghoul after ghoul. Very soon after she starts shooting, her eyes begin to turn red as she continues to tear into the horde of zombie-like ghouls. Alucard soon notices and realizes she is starting to see what it really is to be a Midian.

After crushing a ghoul's head, Seras brings the blood up to her face to drink it, and just then, a volley of blades enters her.

Knocked to the Ground, Seras is completely incapacitated at this point as most of her upper body is pierced with bayonets. Alucard looks around and notices a barrier being erected around the room. and then, Alexander Anderson steps into the room from upstairs.

Meanwhile, back at Hellsing HQ, Integra is alerted that The Vatican's section XIII Iscariot organization has mobilized and has sent Anderson to Badrick. She immediately recognizes the problem and announces that she needs a sword and a gun, for she too is going to Badrick, leaving her butler Walter in charge of negotiations with the Vatican.

Anderson begins to walk towards the surprised Hellsing agents just as the wounded seras tries to move. Anderson proclaims that she is only still alive because he purposely missed her heart so that he could have fun. Alucard begins to walk towards him questioning him as to what happened to the Vampire. It seems the Priest had already dispatched this houses vampire and it was quite the boring kill at that. He then proclaims that the only ones left to kill are Alucard and Seras.

Both vampire hunters draw their weapons and attack each other at the same time, and although Anderson struck first, Alucard's shot is seemingly the winning attack. after blowing a hole in the priests head, Alucard goes to remove the blessed bayonets from his servant, only to be surprised from behind when Anderson stabs him. Alucard backs off and fires more shots at Anderson, all of which seem to have no effect on the diligent priest who just keeps getting up. After a quick volley of attacks, Anderson manages to pin Hellsing's prize cleaner to the wall with his bayonets. As Anderson advances on his helpless prey, Alucard realizes the priest is a Regenerator, a human who through science, has been granted the regenerative powers of a Vampire. As the priest finishes his advance he finishes off by slicing Alucard's head off, and laughing hysterically at his triumph.

As Integra's helicopter grows closer to Badrick, she realizes Alucard's presence means the fight may already have started.

Meanwhile, Anderson revels on his victory, wondering why Hellsing's supposed "strongest of the vampires" was so easy to beat. He soon averts his attention to Seras, realizing he needs to finish the job only to be surprised when he finds she is gone. He quickly draws his weapons to take care of the girl he underestimated.
As Seras limps away from the insane priest, she pulls the last bayonet from her back, distraught at suddenly being left alone by her master, whose head she now holds.

Just then, a bayonet flies toward Seras, tearing her master's head from her hands and skewering it to the wall. He advances on the young girl, telling her she will soon become dust. Seras suddenly begins to panic as all hope seems to have gone at once, not only is she alone against the paladin, but his barrier wont allow her to escape. She becomes hysterical repeating "I'm gonna die" over and over again. Suddenly and without warning, she hears Alucard asking her if it's any time to panic. The windows all break and Alucard's head melts into a puddle of blood, a puddle that turns itself into a message scrawled onto the floor. "Drink my blood police girl, so you shall not be killed. you will then be free of your servitude to me, you will drink blood and walk the night of your own will as a No Life King! Drink my blood Police girl, no, Seras Victoria!".

Seras stares at the blood longingly for a moment, right before Anderson catches up to her, and declares it's over!

Seras is saved however, as Integra shows up at that moment and shoots Anderson's bayonets. She then tells him it's over and to go back to the Vatican. This however, offends the priest and he attacks Integra, killing the two guards she brought with her. Integra, however, is able to defend herself and is surprised to hear he managed to slice off Alucard's head. Anderson, however, is more surprised when he hears Integra remark "You cut off his head? that's all?!". Just then, Seras picks up her gun and takes aim at Anderson, telling him to let go of Integra. Integra then tells him to leave, he agrees, but only after he's finished Integra off. She advises him to hurry, or the one he killed will come back to life!

A flurry of bats suddenly fills the room, breaking windows and covering Anderson. One of them approaches Seras, and calls her a simpleton for not drinking the blood. Integra begins to taunt the priest, telling him he could never defeat Alucard with such simple methods, as Hellsing has spent 100 years fine tuning him into the ultimate undead! The flurry of bats then comes together and reforms into Alucard! Anderson, seemingly happy it wasn't as easy as all that, attacks the Vampire, slicing both of his arms off. Alucard immediately reforms them however, making the priest realize that he is ill equipped to defeat him. Anderson pulls out a bible, using it's pages to magically retreat, proclaiming that the next time they meet, All of Hellsing will die.

Seras immediately breathes a sigh of relief that she was saved as Alucard tells Integra it's been a while since his head's been plucked off. Integra quickly changes the subject to the recent wave of increased midian attacks, saying that something just isn't right. Alucard asks what she Intends to do about it and she says "when the time comes, we will act". This makes the vampire very happy, proclaiming that he is thoroughly looking forward to it. . He the asks Seras why she didn't drink the blood, she tells him "I felt like if I did, something would have ended". he calls her an idiot but says maybe the world could do with a timid vampire like her. She then asks Alucard why he turned Seras into a vampire to begin with, he tells her he isn't sure, maybe it was on a whim, or maybe he just wanted someone around for a while, indulging in humanity's fickle nature

He then calls Seras "Police girl" as he always has and tells her they are leaving. For the first time, she corrects him telling him her name is "Seras Victoria". He, however, tells her she is a coward and police girl will do for now. Integra watches them leave and says "are we getting sentimental? No life king- no, he who was once Count?"

The Scene fades to black and a silhouette of a mysterious man appears. "Ladies and gentlemen, Let us continue this project. for the next war, and the next war, and the war after that.
