Volume Four

(Ch. 19) Elevator Action (6) The volume starts with a brief retreat to Integral's childhood, when her father Arthur questions her about why vampires are to be feared so. Upon answering that it's because they're so powerful, the story returns to Alucard and Alhambra's fight, whereupon Alucard is completely laying waste to the Millennium agent. Seras aids a bit in distractions, but Alucard quickly destroys Alhambra with a bite to the throat, drinking his blood as Alhambra explodes into flames, similarly to Jan. |
(Ch. 20) Age of Empire (1) The shortest chapter Hellsing has ever had. Eight pages of interrogation by Enrico Maxwell back at the Vatican, where he questions a priest who had been in cahoots with the Major and Millennium during the war. Turns out that quite a few of the Vatican's clergy had been enticed by the idea of becoming immortal vampires and helped the Millennium Group out. Enrico has the priest executed and goes about his daily business. |

(Ch. 21) Age of Empire (2) The Major goes over the fight with the Doc and the Captain, congradulating Alucard in his own right for having destroyed Alhambra the way he had. Orders are given to return to home base...there are other matters waiting to be dealt with. Back with Hellsing, Alucard informs Integral about what happened, just in time for Anderson to show up again. After a brief scuffle (as always) with Alucard, Anderson admits he came not to fight, but to help the three get back to England. He has papers for them so they can use a Vatican air plane. |
(Ch. 22) Age of Empire (3) The Major and crew arrive back at their main base in South America, a small distance from Rio in Brazil, to be confronted by their age-old commanders. The Major is questioned about his intentions, and after being struck, is protected by more Millennium special agents; Schrodinger, Zorin and Rip. The Major explain he just wishes for war, and leaves it at that. |

(Ch. 23) Call to Power On the trip back to London, Alucard has a nightmare that alludes back to when he was first captured by the Hellsing family. He wakes up with blood dripping from his eyes, and says it's impossible that he would be crying. He and the other two finally arrive in England and attend another Knight's Conference, in which the Queen is present. Alucard explains what Millennium is based on experience and what he learned from Alhambra's blood (memories). Schrodinger shows up not a minute later, claiming to be an envoy for the Major. |
(Ch. 24) Ultima On Line The Major and Integral talk about what each other's goals and ambitions for one another are (war/death/etc). The Major even shows that he is merciless by having the old commanders from two chapters ago slaughtered and eaten for the Knights to see. Integral is disgusted and orders Schrodinger and the video panel he brought destroyed. The Queen orders Integral and Alucard to stop Millennium at all costs. |

(Ch. 25) D (1) Anderson is struggling to return to the Vatican, as at every turn, another band of soldiers comes out of no where to attack him. He manages to contact Enrico, and it's decided that they will take this war into their own hands. With Millennium, the Schrodinger has somehow returned from the dead and it's explained that what he thinks to be 'fireworks' is really a signal flare to tell the world that they have returned. |
(Ch. 26) D (2) The signal flare turns out to be a helicopter en rout to the VSTOL AIrcraft Carrier "Eagle." On board the helicopter is First Lientenant Rip Van Winkle. She approaches the carrier without consern for being shot down, as most of the crew has betrayed England with wishes to join Millennium and become vampires. Inwardly sickened by that, Rip decides to kill them all regardless of the help they gave (even though it was the Major's orders to do so anyway) and assumes command of the ship herself. At Hellsing, Seras is found trying to eat human food by Integral, and she slits her finger to force Seras to drink blood. |

(Ch. 27) D (3) Rip takes her sweet time commendeering the vessel by using a mixture of red paint and blood to paint a giant swastika on the deck of the ship. Back in South America with the bulk of Millennium's forces, the Major gives a compelling speech about starting a new war against England that will shake the earth to its foundation. Their three zeppelins rise from the underground facilities in the middle of the Amazon Jungle on a course set for London. |
