December 24th, 2009 - Merry Christmahannukwanza everyone!

For those folks who don't check the forums and are wondering WTF has been going on since Halloween, let me be the first to apologize and bring out the explanations. A little more than 60 days ago I lost my job as a Shift Manager because my boss at that place is an illiterate moron who was being pressured by the higher ups to "do something" about the low scores we were getting during the night shifts.. Unfortunately, most of those complaints were about prices going up when recession was getting worse, but because the higher ups don't read said comments, they just assume the low scores are cuz people in the stores are fucking up. So...being the highest paid person that worked that shift (and despite the Partner of the Quarter award I'd gotten, as well as the district-wide compliment about me that had circulated through official newsletters), the boss canned me without warning on October 14th. For about a week I feverishly sent out resumes and applications and filled stuff out online and all manner of other things, and landed a mediocre entry-level job to cover me till I found something better. Secure in having at least that, I pumped out the end of Ch1 by my proposed release date and have since fallen into a bit of a stress-induced depression.

As any creative body can attest to...when you're stressed, sleep-less, headachy and miserable, it's really hard to get anything artistic done...so I haven't tried. But, some really awesome stuff has happened lately that's given me my mojo back so I've been able to crank out the storyboards for the first 40 someodd pages of Ch2. I still need to finish the shading/backgrounds for the redone Book 1 prologue, fix the bridge of the Bastion in Ch1.2 to match the redesign in Ch 1.3, and make the new coverpage for the trade paperback, but I think it's a safe bet to say that (unless something horrifically bad happens between now and Jan 31st) I'll have an update by the end of next month. I'll be uploading all the revised artwork for Ch1.1 when the prologue and such is done (and even some side-by-side comparisons on the forum to show you WHY I did those updates)

So...without further adieu, I announce now that (pending apocolypse) Book I - Chapter 2 - Part 1 will be uploaded on January 31st, 2010! Look forward to it...I am!

October 31st, 2009 - Happy Halloween! I have a treat for all...the last 40 pages of Pt3!

It's been a pretty crazy month on this side of things. Some horrifically bad, some actually pretty good, and some that you tilt your head at and wonder. But, despite it all, I managed to get the end of Chapter 1 finished, and even added like 4 pages to the end. Right now I'm working on doing some correctionary artwork for a lot of Part 1 because I really didn't do a good job drawing Gabe...so that's getting fixed. Can't have m'boy looking like he's 16 when he's 28, right? Right. Glad you understand. Corrected artwork will be available in the Trade Paperback copy of Chapter 1, and I won't be uploading them...so if it matters to you, it's insentive to buy the book when it becomes available XD I'll be taking preorders once I get some other stuff worked out and put together some extra goodies to add to the end (concept art, world map, stuff of that nature.)

Hope to see some interest! It only gets better from here! Ch2 and 3 are like one fluidic mass of a chapter that we've split in two, and it's ridiculously awesome. There's gonna be giant robots. I promise. Not like Gundams or anything...more along the lines of Escaflowne...but giant robots nonetheless.

September 30th, 2009 - New Website goes LIVE!

What a wild ride it's been. Thanks to all of the original BloodKnight members who have supported the site since its birth in 2002, where its humble beginnings as a series of geocities accounts gave rise to the Hellsing fan-site it later became. For those who are still interested in the Hellsing side of things, I encourage you to go check out [Call to Arms], a new website created by BKForum's Demon Rin and UV. They're the only ones currently still making high-quality subs for the come-and-coming OVAs so be sure to support them when they go live 100% =P

In other news though, more related to things going on here on BK now, is the release of Limitless Chapter 1.3.1 XD I didn't manage to get all 90-something pages done (I know, I know...I had 3 months and only managed 56 pages...shuush,) but I do think that what I have to show this month is worth it either way. I'm finally getting to the good parts so I'm always excited to get home and work on the art. Only 36 pages left anyway so I'm really aiming to have that out by (or shortly after) Halloween.

So, here it is! I hope everyone enjoys this update as much as I did staying up till 6:00am finishing it a few days ago *laughs* Seriously! This one is pretty good! I finally got to draw Gabe's partner...and she's a badass...you'll see what I mean in a few chapters >.>

Next release, as said, is 36 pages long and hopefully due out on October 31st. Come Hell or high water, I will do everything in my power to get it done on time, or within a few days of it...but I'll keep folks posted on the forum. Hope to see folks there! Thanks again!!
