October 25th - 2007

Heya, Rin here. Long-story short, Rip's Dreamweaver is dead again, so I'm going to start updating the site again. I plan on starting a regular Updating session now, since Hellsing news happens quite often, so expect a lot more updates to hit this site now.

First up, getting caught up with all the stuff that happened recently, let's start with Manga news.
As you all may, or may not know, Hirano took not one, but TWO breaks in a row, meaning we've been without a new Hellsing chapter for about 2 months now. but tthanks to the Shounen Gahousha main site, we finally have full confirmation, we DO get a new chapter October 30th!
Hirano may have used that 2 months productively though. as the Hellsing volume 9 tankobon releases in Japan on November 9th! Which is excellent!

Now onto the more pressing matter, OVA News, and we'll start wtih Japanese OVA News.
OVA IV Has been delayed, TWICE in Japan. The first delay was only by a month, from October 5th to November 5th, but now it seems to be delayed indefinately. That means they aren't sure when they'll be done, and thusly aren't giving us a date AT ALL. However, as sort of an apology to the Japanese fans, they are going to be showing an incomplete version of it in a Japanese theatre in Akihabara on October 28th, immediately following a marathon of the first 3 OVAs. It may be incomplete, but this tells us they have at least enough to have a worthwile show, meaning we have at least a little hope we'll see OVA IV's release by the end of 2007

Now for the US news. Firstly, OVA III has been released. expect some updates to the OVA section soon with scans of the box, inserts, discs, etc to come soon.
But now onto the big news that pertains to some info that's been floating around the internet for a while. Basically, it's all about some massive layoffs going on within Geneon, the comapny who liscenses Hellsing, among several other animes. This caused the cancelation of ALL DVD releases from the company past the end of the year, and has effectively confused and/or upset several Hellsing and just general anime fans alike. To end some of the confusion, here is basically what happened:
Geneon only laid off their SALES division, meaning the distribution of the DVD's, meaning they could still produce stuff and just get a new DVD distribution house. Geneon will still do their liscensing and will set up the dub work, they just don't want to be funding their own DVD releases on top of funding all of that. so they're looking for someone to take on part of the monetary load. A deal was set up so that ADV was supposed to handle that, but that deal died somehow, which is odd, because they already had a deal set up so ADV would do Geneon's European distribution (if you buy Hellsing In Europe, it Says ADV all over it, but it also Says Geneon, and retains the same dub, Subtitles, and DVD Menus.) So even if it won't be ADV, they're still looking for SOMEBODY to do it, it's just a matter of time before they find somebody.
So basically, this will DELAY Geneon releases, but once they find a new distribution House, chances are everything will go back to the way it was before.
We'll still get Hellsing DVDs, pretty much EXACTLY the same as before, they'll just say "Some other company " on them now, AS WELL as Geneon, and nothing else asside from MAYBE the DVD case design will change, not even the dub. The Dub was not even handled by Geneon, they set it up, but it's being produced by New Generation Pirctures, and ADR director Taliesin Jaffe has already confirmed on his Live Journal, that all this nonsense has not affected production of the dub in the slightest, it's continuing on schedual, and he's even already working on OVA IV. So anyone who was still worrying about this, can relax. As soon as a press release is issued confirming that Geneon has found a DVD distribution house, we'll post the info here.

Confused as to what this is? It's the 2nd opening theme to an anime caleld "Hokuto No Ken" or "Fist of the North Star". Now, are you confused as to why this is on a Hellsing site? Well, believe it or not, this song was briefly in OVA III! This is the orignal version from Hokuto No Ken, and not the exact same as the version featured in the OVA, but both versions (the orignal 80s version, and the modern remix) are longer than the short bit that was featured in the OVA, and either way, you have to admit the song is Catchy!

July 16th - 2007

Hey all, Rip here again, I finally got Dreamweaver working again. Sorry for such a long delay in regular website updates...life's been hectic the last couple months. Had to move the family, had to move myself a while after, boyfriend and now ex-boyfriend fiasco (thank God I'm not with him anymore, etc) cosplay goofiness and WoW. WoW moreso than anything....only toppled by Bleach XD Yeah, I joined the bandwagon.

Anyway, Hellsing updates will commense promptly with this months chapter release. Demon Rin's been doing a fantastic job with scanlations. Keep up with good work!

BK changes to be coming, mostly in the way of a new section being added...check back to the Cosplay section later for more info on that one.

Also, if anyone's going to D*C, post as such in the Cosplay and Conventions section of the forum so I know it's worth it to set up a BK gathering XD I know a few folks going already but let's get some more!

Hello Again Everybody!
First off, this is Rin updating today! Rip's got some things going on right now that have been keeping her busy, and so she hasn't been able to update regularly. Therefore, I'm going to start making updates to the main site until she's ready to take control again.
April has been a good month for Hellsing so far, there is a LOT of new stuff out! So let's go down the list

The chapter is 28 Pages, a real long one compared to Hirano's recent chapters, and it looks like this will be the 2nd to last chapter of Volume 9!

Script work for the scanlation will begin soon; however to actually release the scanlation, we're waiting for our HQ Raw provider Zeratanis to get his book, so we have really good scans to work with

Next down the Line, OVA III came out in Japan on the 4th of this month, and it was Spectacular!
I ripped the RAW and it is available for Download!! I also subtitled it, with the Help of some of BK's members!

January 6th - 2007

Well, we bring in the new year with renewed spirits and the blessing of a new chapter in the omnisaga that is Hellsing.

I hope everyone had a great holiday and got lots of swag! My presents include a copy of "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories" (from mein boyfriend, cuz he's a badass, since he gave me his GBA like 6 months ago and I never got the game for it myself) and $450 from my folks to put towards my car when Alexander gets back from Iraq :3 Thanks everyone! Christmas was awesome cuz of you!

Anywho, on to more pressing matters. My hacker, as you all well know, vehemently denies the act, despite many logs and personal accounts lofted against her and her associate. I appreciate everyone's help and support on the matter...you guys have really helped keep me sane since November when this all happened the first time. I'm recovering well enough on DA and LJ and have hopes to keep everything I have now that I'm back on track. It just sucks that I lost so much when I didn't even do anything to deserve it. I'm tempted to discuss putting up an Encyclopedia Dramatica entry up for this crazy fool XD You know who you are, putting that idea into my head. Ya'll go check out Ripje's forum too, since we should be coming together as sister-sites and not squabbling rivals.

In other news, OVA III is gonna be coming out next month (pending delays) but we still have no news or sign of a trailer, so we're all biting our nails waiting for the next update on the OVA site. We've got a screenshot and some cover art but both are small and difficult to see...so, blah.

Also, IKKICON is coming up in February for anyone in the Texas and surrounding area who wants to go! I'm gonna have my regular Abel Nightroad cosplay there, as well as Final Form Sora again if I get it all fixed up in time. I'll have Rip back for one more hurrah at Akon when I'm tired of being stalked in my Kresnik 80% Abel cosplay XD Nothing beats convention stress like dressing up as a Nazi. Everyone leaves you alone ^_^ I totally can't wait for these cons. It feels like so long since I got to go to one. Onicon doesn't count cuz I couldn't cosplay =P Was too lazy.

December 14th - 2006

Okay folks, stop donating =P Apparently Rage actually did get a backup of the forum downloaded before the second attack, so it's still possible to back it up without spending all that money.

To everyone who already donated: I'd like to refund ya'll, though paypal took out a few cents here and there for random whatever fees. If that makes a difference, please PM me on the forum or email me or something so I can compensate. Sorry to trouble everyone, and thanks again for your support!

December 12th - 2006

Arighty, so I've sent my complaint to the FBI. However, BK doesn't seem to have a forum backup available that actually contains any of the posts we've made recently. Rage might have one but I don't.

Long story short, it's going to cost $150 to get the forum database back. The tech guys I talked to before don't know why I wasn't charged the first time, but they're not going to restore it again for free, so I'm up shit creek without a paddle. I can tell you all right now that I flat out don't have the money to do this on my own. I'm already going to be slightly short for my car in Janurary with Alexander gets back. So, I'm reaching out to you guys.

Novermber 30th - 2006

Welp, the forum's been completely restored to its former glory, much thanks to RageDemon and the patient guys over at GoDaddy. I appreciate all of ya'lls help on this one. Really annoying, them hackers. Makes you wonder what they do for fun in the real world.

Anywho, OVA III is slated for release this coming Feburary, though it's going to be shorter than both the first and second episodes. We're speculating that OVA III's length will be standard for all remaining episodes, seeing as it's an average length for a TV show. Rin will post info on the OVA section of the site as more of it comes down the pipes. We're all eagerly anticipating seeing a trailer of this awesome goodness ^_^

Also, Alexander would like us to know that BK has love and support coming all the way from Baghdad! Wish him and my Army Ranger in training friend, Mike, safety and good luck in their continuing and coming tours of the Middle East. Alexander's about half way done his tour and Mike just left for Iraq about 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to see them both safely back on US soil.

In other news, all OVA II character galleries are up (including a small one for Abraham, the Knights, etc.) Luke and Jan are under 'Others' since they're moreso 'hired' by Millennium rather than involved with it.

It took forever to get the raws, but thanks to Rygel at HellFreak and (whomever runs) Ritual Scan Forge, we finally got em, and the scanlations are available in the forum (VIP) from Demon Rin and I! It'll be up on Rin's part of the site soon to view page by page, so watch for that!

Still haven't gotten off my ass to post the OVA II galleries, but they'll be here eventually.

October 4th - 2006

In other news, BK has just recently gotten a HUGE upgrade. One dreary morning, I recieved a phone call from my host. They were having a huge customer appreciation special and not only doubled BK's storage space (now 1GB,) but they doubled the bandwidth (now 1TB) and lowered the cost of service by $2 a month! Sweet potatoes ^_^ I was giddy all day because of it!

Oh yeah, also, the MUSIC section is now up and running, so all you folks who can't find the Romanji or English titles for any random song, you can find them there! Two OVA songs are up there as well, up to and including Gradus Vita (OVA I closing,) and Merche Funebre (OVA II closing.) The songs from the TV series are available too, as well as a few extra goodies that no one ever seems to think of!

Welcome to Blood Knight v.eleventy^54! I really just didn't like how the layout's looked these last incarnations, so I figured I'd put my headache-plagued brain to work and think up something that's a bit more fitting of our beloved series. This is what I got. Truth be told, originally there was a huge TB cross faded in the background as a sort of Easter Egg, but I thought it looked too obvious, and with TB's being premiered on [Adult Swim], I didn't think it was sneaky anymore. Anywho though, sorry for the (almost as usual) late update, but I've had a lot of stuff going on lately that made me feel pretty lousy. It's looking up though so hopefully it won't bog me down too much anymore.

But anyway, Fall's begun and we've entered a new school year. I wish everyone luck who's attenting, and even more luck to those who've recently graduated and are on their way to strange new places. Let's make this year a good one, eh?

(Ch. 75) Heart of Iron On the sidelines of the war, a distance from London, two Knights of the Round Table confere about what to do regarding London. Penwood's last transmission falls on ears that seek not necessarilly to aid, but to erraticate...and it would seem there is indeed a betrayer to the Queen's Knights. Someone leaking information about their plans to Millennium. Who though? Who could it be? How long? 10 years? 20 years? Could it have been all the way since Warsaw 1944 ?

New chapter has finally come out! Pretty short, only 8 pages, but that's okay :D Also, Rin's got a placeholder site available now under the Scanlations button in the navigation bar, cuz at some point soon here, he's gonna be providing the main hub of V9+ scanlations, or generally, anything that DH hasn't published yet and therefore can't sue us for hosting o_o

Website's being updated continuously throughout the last couple days, and will continue to be updated as new stuff comes out. YKO August release comes out in a few days so we'll see if there's a new chapter of Hellsing in there.

SITE UPDATES: Demon Rin's gotten started on the OVA page, so check that stuff out. He'll be getting on a synopsis of the first episode, with images, as soon as he gets back from Comic Con.

The Galleries will be updated as soon as they're available, but I'm experiencing a few technical difficulties with getting the Character pages to load the images that LINK to said galleries. I have no idea why just those four pages won't do it, but they're not working right, so bear with me while I try to figure it out. I also managed to overwrite my HellsingCharacters section so forgive the fact that everyone but Alucard's entry has been inadvertently deleted.

Well, looks like BK's taking a wee bit of a turn. Sure, it's still pretty much got the same layout, but there's a couple changes that are going to start taking place.

First and foremost, I've got myself a brand new co-host. Demon Rin, the guy who's been doing the amazing speed-scanlations of recent Hellsing chapters from YKO, has taken up the reigns and is going to be running everything on BK having to do with the OVA, as well as managing a sister-site/subdomain to BK wherein he'll be posting all new scanlations, as well as whatever he happens to want to include there.

The main site itself will now be uploading and linking to all kinds of new information, up to an including the OSTs, more in-depth info about the episodes and chapters of the series/manga, as well as stuff conserning my new original comic, "Eidolon: A Walk in Andante." The Newsbar on the left there will tell you all the new goodness that BK's got going for it, so go ahead and navigate the site as you so wish while we update everything. Just bear with us, there may be some things that don't immediatly work or that link back to pages that don't exist yet...we'll get to that as we can.

New chapter's out! Pretty good one, too...it's got more than 8 pages =P

Oh yeah, also...for those who still don't know, I'm starting up an original comic (*ducks hail of tomatos and chicken livers*) which you can find in the BK Comic Archive located in the drop-down menu on the top right of your viewing screen. That sounded really robotic. Ah well. Either way...I'm pretty psyched about this one...hoping maybe I can make moolah off of it, unlike with the Hellsing comic =P Damn you America...damn you and your copyright laws..

(Ch. 73) Heart of Dream (2) Anderson's last words are heart-felt and sincere as he passes on into oblivion. Alucard himself grants the Paladin a smile, and Integral sets her sword to the ground, its shadow casting a cross for the fallen Priest. However, mourning converts quickly to surprise and outrage as Dark Walter himself desecrates Anderson's ashes and defames the dead as nothing more than rubbish. The Butler finally reveals himself to his past comrads in arms!.

Sooooo yeah. Updating the site again with scans provided by many folks, scanlations even done by Demon Rin (thanks again yo~) Can't wait at ALL for this volume to come out in paperback so I can add it to my collection. In my euphoria of Hellsing, I accidentally bought V7 in English twice ;p I coulda sworn I had the Japanese one before...ah well...SELLING A BRAND NEW COPY OF (ENGLISH) HELLSING VOLUME 7! Email me if you want it. $10.

In other news, BK's gonna get somewhat of a mirror site soon. Since I don't want to convert BK itself into a site for my Eidolon comic, I'm just gonna do like... www.bloodknight.eidolon.net or something. Dunno yet. Either way, it's gonna be awesome. I'll be putting up a whole new place just like the current BK, but exclusively for the new comic I'm going to be attempting to get published. It may not be super-amazing in publishing terms, but hey...if I can get this thing mass produced so I don't have to rob the Kinkos of their paper and color printer cartriges...then so be it. I'm really psyched about it. You can see the Cover page of V1 and the Prologue through the links.

Anywho though. Some of you might be asking why BK has ads on it now. It's because I'm cheap and my folks had a good idea...so there you go. There's a search bar feature now that you can use just like the google main page...so if you use google to search for stuffs, come back to BK and use my search bar! I'll love you long time. I updated a lil bit more here and there. Put some more stuff into my cosplay gallery (for any interested,) and Alucard's page(s). The entire first episode's worth of screenshots of Alucard are in his OVA gallery, which totals out at 110 images. All of them are really good quality and decently sized...so I encourage you to not direct-link if you're going to post them anywhere =P I give you my thanks in advance.

Debates continue on whether I should attempt another effort on BK3. Currently, 3 new panels have been drawn, and the next 4 chapters have been written out in their entirety, but no definitive conclusion has been made. I don't want to do any work if I'm just gonna lose interest again right away.

So with that said, I give you the summary for the official Hellsing's latest installment: Heart of Dream, Chapter 72. Seems Hirano's doing at least a bit better than I am ;p

(Ch. 72) Heart of Dream Anderson and Alucard continue their battle. Alucard's fist-attack lands for all it's worth, clenching at Elena's Nail, ripping it from Anderson's chest as if it was only some annoying splinter. Sadly, in doing so, Alucard also rips out Anderson's heart in the process, the pulsing flesh engorged with vines and spikes. Alucard lets it all drop from his hand as he comes to terms with what's happened, tears of blood falling from his eyes as he begs an answer as to why it all had to come to this. Apparently Alucard saw himself in the Paladin, in the sense that both of them gave up everything in order to become monsters.

God, I feel like I haven't updated since last year. WAIT...that's actually true...I haven't updated since last year. December to be precice.

So what have I done to update the website so far? Plenty. Will you see any of it just yet? Not a chance. Why? Because it'll take like 50 years to upload everything to the correct directories (all new pictures, all new descriptions, all new screenshots from the OVA, etc) so what I'm going to do is this:

Finish updating all character profiles and adding all the information the site should have anyway. I'm then going to take everything offline, empty all the folders, reupload everything from the ground up and HOPEFULLY get everything in working order on the first try.

On the FLIP SIDE...there is vague hope that the comic may have a dim and extremely casual future. As luck would have it, the files that got corrupted New Years (god, yeah...4 months ago) actually didn't ALL get corrupted. The PSD files were in tact, in a folder I didn't know I had. To those who knew I had these files...you know who you are...lemee alone ;p Basically, my dad had moved everything off the server and onto my computer, but I didn't realize my safe-copies were included in this...so when I randomly found this amazing folder and saw the files there I was like "O RLY." So here they are. Yeah, I only had a few pages done. Shut up. I was VERY pissed off when the files I had on my computer (that I knew of) were fubar, so I stopped working on everything immediatly. However, after this hiatus (and a brief hope of doing something original) I got back into wanting to do BK. Keep in mind, this isn't official, and it won't be taken entirely seriously...but when I have a spare hour here and there, I'll probably draw stuff. Gabe and Qip make me feel squishy on the inside so I wanna draw em doing stuff. COOL stuff.

(Ch. 70) Castlevania In what could possibly be regarded as the most developmental chapter in all of Hellsing, we are given a glimpse into Alucard's history, all the way back to his childhood. His being surrendered to the Turks as a young boy, his abuse by the Sultan , his regained freedom to rule over Wallachia...all the way to his ultimate defeat and becoming of a vampire by licking up of blood from his scorched and besieged homeland. All the while, cherishing the Holy Cross of Catholicism, as was his religion of the time, until his breaking with God upon becoming One with the night.

Sweet chaptery goodness! (And Seras has a panel in there at the end where she's all regular-mode again...not Blood Seras anymore. Major also makes a cameo for some reason. Anyway.)

Still working on the update. My forum avatar has 2 snippets from the unreleased pages so if you see it then you can be teased..and...stuff. Gonna work some more on the update tonight, now that I'm done putting up the Hellsing chapter release.

So yeah! Finally updated with something since folks are getting impatient! And by "folks" I mostly mean ME, but that's okay! Here's pages 5-14...THIS IS NOT, I REPEAT, NOT THE ENTIRE CHAPTER. God help me if I spent a month only working on 9 pages-worth of an update, right? Yeah, so, sorry it took so long. I'd go into the reasons (again) but I don't feel like it, much like I don't care how crappy some of my backgrounds are or how some of the drawings turned out :D So yeah, the rest of the chapter will get posted when I'm done with it. I still want it to be before Christmas if I possibly can. I've already got 2 pages of it almost done so far...working my ass off now since I've been taking for-freakin-ever.

(Ch. 69) Psyoblade Alucard finally begins to focus his guns on the nail embedded within Anderson's breast, but hitting it seems to be just as difficult as beliving the Paladin even stabbed himself with it in the first place. Try as Alucard might, he can't hit the nail, and before a word can be said edgewise, he's impaled in the skull with one of his own stakes...Anderson now setting fire to an already immolated London.

For the most part, the update consists of a couple image additions to Alucard and Anderson's galleries, as well as this inclusion to the V9 manga synopsis page. I also sort-of removed the VoH section and replaced it with a BK-specific one. I figure, with as many new characters that I'm planning on having, there should be a place to catagorize them all. Please be aware that it is under construction though, and there won't be much to update with until I release the new chapter (and later ones that include Iscariot and Millennium members.) I prettified the synopsis pages a wee bit (centering the text instead of alligning it) and did a bunch of other random crap around the page. Sadly, updating the comic wasn't one of them =P Complain to my boss ^_^

I also added a link or two to the Links section, and, finally, more info as to the update (or rather, delay) of the OVA release.

Since there's quite a few gamers that come through BK, I wanted to toss this up and see if we, as a community, can't raise some money to donate to Penny Arcade's 'Child's Play' fundraiser this year.

November 15th, 2005

Work continues profitably on the comic. Now that my new job has settled down (and it doesn't hurt as much to move XD) and I've had time...I've managed to start coloring the pages that were ready to be scanned. Granted, I can only color in spats of two-three hours before my head or hip hurts too bad to continue, but it's progress none the less. Getting my hip looked at soon, probably this Thursday or next week if I miss it. Lots of doctor-ish stuff to catch up on since I skipped it a lot while in Houston. So a word of advice to people moving out of their homes for the first time...make sure you have your own vehicle and health insurance, because you'll regret it a year later when things are hurting and you can't afford to see a doctor.

General site wellness. The VoH section is gonna come down because there's quite literally no desire to update it now. Yeah, I'm hving one of those famous "Well, it sounded good at the time" moments. It'll be replaced by a BK-specific area which will be assembled much like the Hellsing manga/anime sections. Added bonus is the appearance of an extended biography on my original characters for anyone who wants to know a bit more about them (well, as much as I'll reveal for the time being anyway.) This section will be up and running when I post Chapter 2's update.

Commissions...I've recently had to turn down two of them. I won't be taking any more for a while yet. Why? Like I told them, my hip is causing me too much grief to be able to make costumes or props without hurting myself...and quite frankly, my lacking pain is worth more than someone else's money ^_^ Thank God for Hellsing cosplay...throw $100 at a Dillards and you can walk out with an Integral costume.

As the above says, comic updates will be announced in a week or two. The remains of Chapter 2 will be presented all at once instead of one page at a time so the 'luster' isn't lost over the waiting period between each update. That said, it's about 26-27 pages long storyboarded and I have 2 pages ready to be scanned. I'll scan once I have about 10 ready.

Chapter 68 of Hellsing has just now come out. You can see the summary in the Manga Synopsis section, in the Volume 9 part of it. Turns out Might and Magic (1) was part of Volume 8. Might and Magic (2) is the first chapter of Volume 9.

So with that corrected, you can see new images of each participating character in their galleries. That being...Alucard, Anderson, Captain Hans, the Doc, Major Max, Walter, Wolfe and Yumiko.

OVA seiyuu announcement has revealed who Pip and the Major will be voiced by. Pip will be played by Hiroaki HIRATA(Japanese dub of Pirates of the Carribean, as well as Sha Gojyo in Saiyuki) and the Major will be played by Nobuo TOBITA(Also did Tomo in Fushigi Yugi and Seiya Uribatake in Martian Successor Nadesico.)

So I didn't go to Onicon, right? Cuz my comp needed to be reformated...again? Turns out it was a good thing I didn't go. Not only did folks get sick from some kind of black mold that was in some of the rooms, but hotel staff itself was unreasonable, as they set a cerfue and stopped the dance prematurely.

In other news, Ushicon is a definate Go! So anyone in the Texas region who wants to go and may be able to, let me know!

I also updated all the character galleries that had something useful from the OVA to be added. That being, Alucard, Anderson, Captain, Enrico, Integral, Major, Pip, Rip, Seras and Walter. Also changed up peoples' galleries if they had seperate appearances in The Dawn or Crossfire/Kufu. So...Heinkel, Enrico again cuz he's a bastard, Yumiko, Alucard and Walter. Strangely enough, while Alucard ranks highest for image-count in the regular galleries, he's got less pics for Dawn than the Captain does. I find that strange. Also added the new LE Hirano-drawn Alucard-themed DVD cover for the OVA that Demon Rin found.

Onicon coming up in a little over 2 weeks! Anyone in the Houston area should go! I command it! O_O Anywho...yeah, comic update again! I'm astounded at how much people laughed at the last page, so I'm really happy about that! I guess it lost some of 'teh funneh' to me because I drew it XD But I'm glad you all got a kick out of it!

Those of you thinking Gabe is taking over as a main character can stop complaining because he's not ;p He IS an OC but he's only really about as important as Pip...so he's there, and he does stuff, but the focus is still very much on Integral, Alucard and Millennium (when the rest show up.)

Anywho, general site update...added a section for Volume 9 in the Manga area and added the new chapter to its summaries. Also did the one for Chapter 5 of Dawn. Added Demon Rin's HQ pics to the OVA section and all that good stuff. Yay for updates~ Now if only Hirano would do one worth mentioning XD

EDIT: I suddenly realized I had all the cover pages uploaded, but none of them linked. You'll find to your complete amazement that each chapter is now chronicalized and linked to its according cover page. You may leave your offerings of utter and complete, undying gratitude at the door...the butler will gather them later.

So AnimeFest has come and gone, and life as we (I?) know it is once again normal. Well, at least for now...I hope.

Anyway. Getting back into the thick of things...the VoH Downloads area is updated with all the .rar archives of the scanlations I've done. So, with that said, everything from Chapter 1 through Chapter 29 is available (that is, V1Ch1 - V7Ch1.) I just ask that people be nice about how much they download all at once. BK's bandwidth can only handle so much, and I don't want to take the files down because 1 person couldn't limit themselves to downloading only the chapter they were about to read.

Cosplay area is updated with a small collage of my Hamel costume. Next project is Orgel and a life-size Guitar plushie. Yes. Hellsing's manga summaries have been updated as well to include Hundred Swords 4. Sorry it took so long...I'm a lazy bastard. (Lol, it's not like it came out a month and a half ago, right? Hyuh hyuh hyuh!)

There's a bit of fanart that'll be going up when I get home from work...I would've put it up now if I didn't have to spend all morning at said work (11:45pm to 4:30am) and wake up just in time to go back again (1pm to 7pm).

As for the comic, that's an Utena reference in there, not Dukes of Hazzard. I think I'll cry if I hear it's DoH one more time.

After a poll in the forum and a general question to the masses who watch me on DA, I've decided that maybe BK is worth picking up again after all. I have time now, a working scanner, a new wacom, and as long as there's an understanding that I'm not going to update every single day (try once a week or so maybe) then all will be well to continue.

Comics Archives for BK1 and 2 will be available through my personal Gallery (since it's my work and all....plus I'm too lazy to go back and add a new section.) Comics will also be posted in the forum in Feedback (Under the new BK Doujinshi header), on my LJ and on my DA account.

Updates will be loose, and there won't be any true schedule. Maybe once a week or so. I don't want to stop scanlating VoH or working on my costumes ;p

I just wanna throw out a thanks to everyone who's shown their support for the site and the comic. I really had no idea how many people enjoyed them so much ^_^ Thanks all, very much!

Wow! BK is becoming a real source these days. Anime-Source was kind enough to credit back to BK after using the screenshots that a member of the forums took on his cellphone *pokes Rin and smirks*

Anywho...got the Javascript working thanks to RageDemon (he saves my ass so often it's amazing I'm still allowed to keep it.) Hope folks enjoy the new layout as much as I do. Stupidly enough, I got the design idea from Ogrish (don't click the link if you're faint of heart or under 18 years of age) so I think it works out pretty good. The VoH stuff still hasn't been given any sections yet so hold your horses on that one. Working on finishing these scanlations before I post any sections that may involve spoilers (Lol, as if the banner didn't do that anyway.)

But yeah! OVA coming out soon! Awesome!

Well, it's that time again...BK's bi-monthly enema has come to pass once again. I suppose the new hosting will allow for more spiffy graphics and a nicer looking layout again...so here we are.

Hellsing's sections on the left have all been updated. Fanart is updated, so is my gallery, cosplay, and...well, yeah. VoH's area on the right hasn't got a thing to it yet so don't bother trying to find anything. You'll just get taken to a 'Page Cannot Be Found' dealio.

Well, this weekend was fun...

Just want to apologize first and foremost for the constant delay in any sort of BKv3 debut. I know maybe 3 of you out there actually care whether I post it or not. I think only one of you actually checks the main page and reads what I update with. *pokes TDP* Anywho...the lack of comics is easily explained.

For one, I've obviously got my new VoH obsession. Due to this, several weeks ago (before BK3 came to mind) I vowed that I would scanlate the entire comic book series (which is 37 volumes long.) Since Akon, when I said I'd start, I've gotten 1.5 done. These suckers are long and difficult to edit. My scripts are translations from Japanese-speaking folks to English, so there's some word-bubbles they didn't bother translating because they're not important, or there's like 1 word written as a translation for 5 word-bubbles worth of text. Going through and spacing everything out, adding minor inconsequencial details to it, and looking up the correct names/spellings of historical composers, their histories and their masterpieces is just taking a long time.

Secondly, I've got more people that I know of looking forward to seeing the VoH scanlations than I know are looking forward to my doujinshi, so I'm appeasing the bigger mass of minds by working on VoH instead of BK.

Thirdly, I was in a car accident this past weekend and haven't really been in much of a mood for anything that involves coherent thought. I was a passenger in the car so I didn't really get hurt too bad, but the driver in the vehicle had to be air-lifted out to the hospital. She's okay now, but we're both really sore. We've got some pretty hellacious bruises (and in her case, lots of cuts), but as we both say...."Battle scars!"

In other news, I'm still planning on going to AFest in September. I hope that anyone in the area who plans to go, can, cuz the BK gathering turnout at Akon was pitiful ;p Shame on all of you.

And so, life returns to the norm...

Akon turned out to be pretty damn badass. My Hellsing obsession has also taken a turn for the worst, as it's been one-upped by Violinist of Hameln. Expect that to affect the doujinshi as time goes on.

Speaking of that thing...I don't quite like how I did the end of the first chapter, so I'll be re-doing that so it works better with stuff I have planned later. I pity Gabriel already. Rip too. And everyone else probably...

Too lazy to update character galleries and the manga summary page with stuff from Hundred Swords (2) but I'll get around to it eventually. I've gotta start working on this other project before long though...and get stuff for my Hamel costume together.

Folks planning on going to AnimeFest in September, please drop me a line sometime! It's in Dallas at the Hyatt Regency by Reunion Tower, Sept 2-5th (yes, Friday-Monday). I'll be there Friday-Sunday (2-4) in my new Hamel outfit, which I'm already designing to have pockets and be the most comfy thing since cashmere pajamas. It's gonna be badass.

Akon is upon us...!

That's right, folks! Akon is officially here! I'll be leaving in T- 16 hours.

The BK Gathering is still on...Friday, 9PM, Bridge. I'll be walking around the con in my Sizer costume most of the time so if you wanna hang out before then, go ahead and track me down. It'll be hard to miss me.

Comics will begin soon...sorry for the continued delay...I wanted to re-do the end of this first chapter anyway (and I was uber-busy this, and last week with finishing touches on my costume.)

In other news, everyone needs to go find and watch Violinist of Hameln. It's become my new obsession.

Akon is only a week away...!

'Blood Knight' is going to be having a gathering at Akon this year. It's nothing special, just a 'let's get together and meet one another' sort of thing, but it's a gathering none the less. If you are going to be attending, the meeting is at 9PM, Friday, on the bridge going between the two hotel towers (going over the road.) Keep your eyes open for the red-winged angel...that'll be me.

If you can't make it to the gathering (or have other things to do) but still want to meet me (for whatever reason you have) then I'll be wandering around the con in both my Sizer costume and my Rip costume. Rip will be on Thursday and Sunday, Sizer on Friday and Saturday. If you happen to catch me in my Sexy-Rip no Jutsu costume (hit me, I'm not even a Naruto fan) then watch for the Rip in a red&black, dragon-embroidered chinese dress (which will most likely be Saturday night.) If you want, I'll even draw you a quick picture.

I'll be involved in a skit at the Cosplay Contest on Saturday too, so if you want to see me make a fool of myself on stage, be there. It is a pre-recorded skit, so you'll get to hear music in the background, voice-effects, and a complete lack of forgetfullness from us actors. We won't be passing the mic around either so we'll actually get to put on a decent performance. I get to stomp on a little girl's feet ;O Woot.

Anyway...yeah! Seven days left!

Akon is almost upon us!

Nine days left until the biggest anime convention in the American Southwest starts up. I wanna know how many BK people are going to be there! I wanna meet you folks XD Look around for either me in my Rip outfit, or my Sizer outfit...I'll probably sport my 'Rip's "Sexy no Jutsu" costume on Saturday night and Sunday, so just watch for the Rip with the red-dragon Chinese dress walking around with a crazy tall person or two.

In other news, my critter's first birthday was on the 21st! Exactly one year ago, I had a tiny bundle of gray fur come out of the shower cieling and into my life. What started as two sealed eyes, iddy biddy ears, and a huge personality grew quickly into a cat with a heart of gold (and teeth of iron.) Her name is Annashi. She's the closest thing to a child I will ever have. I'm so happy she made it this far...the vets in Houston were amazed that she even survived ^_^ May there be many more years of fun and curiosity to be played out by this fuzzyball.

As for the Doujinshi, I've decided to postpone updating the first chapter until after I get back from the convention. Doing so makes more sense than updating when I know I'll have to put it off for another 2 weeks anyway till I can update again with the next chapter. Check back on June 5th or 6th for the update.

Sixteen days left till Akon!

And am I finished my costume? No. Am I finished Subaru's costume? Almost. Will I get them done in time for the con? You bet your ass I will. Does this mean a delay in comic updates? More than likely. I thinking I may delay the update till I get back from the con, but since I'm so close to being done anyway, I'll probably just update the thing as soon as I finish the next 2 pages to finish the intro chapter.

Added info to My Cosplay gallery conserning my costume's progression. It's coming along great. Also, for those who don't already know, Character Galleries (Alucard, Integral, Seras, Anderson, and Rip), and Volume 8 Manga summaries.

Still wanting more fanart and fanfics, so if you want it posted on the site itself, please email me with an attachment and proper information in its regard.

For folks going to the forum. PLEASE...read and review the 4 Golden Rules before posting there. Due to the constant bandwidth issues and my never having time to go back and actually WANT to update the website (having to update 50+ pages every time I add/remove a section tends to be disheartening), I've gone with frames now and in fact, it should work on widescreen moniters too without the clashing, bright white background that would show up past the site's regular, restricted-sized template.

In random news, the new layout (I hope) is here to stay. If there aren't any bandwidth issues again, then I've done my job. The menu on the left is completely independant of the rest of the site, and should provide folks with ample linkage to everything they want. Coincidentally, everything actually works now, as opposed to everything except, say, the links page.

Speaking of such things, if ya'll have sites (or know of sites) that I don't already have linked, drop me a line and tell me about it. Mutual linkage is always prefered, but if the site you give me isn't yours then it's all good. I'll still post it...I'll just find out where you live and cut off your pinky finger at the first knuckle and we'll call it even.

I'm serious.
